Time for Self Reflection...

Hope your year is off to a great start!

At the MakeOver Factory we're all about growth. I was challenged to grow in an area myself recently. A dear friend called and asked why I wasn't doing videos. I was already in the process of 'getting ready' to do them. I was setting up a place in my home, looking for equipment. When she called and asked, I thought...the time is now! Kick yourself off the ledge and dive in. In the past, I was a person that would wait until everything was perfect before doing something, often losing valuable time, so I've developed a skill of jumping in before I'm ready. I know that if I don't, I might wait until it's too late. So many of us do that. We look back and think of what we could have accomplished if we would have just made the effort. Sucky way to live, so now, I just...Go!

How about you? What is that thing that you should be doing? There's a voice that's asking something of you and you keep putting it off. Consider the fact that you're losing time...and none of us have an abundance of that.

I challenge you to make this year your year. Your year of growth, your year of accomplishment. Someone just asked for questions that will spawn growth for a sermon he's working on (He's a pastor). These are the questions I offered:

✅ Who am I really?

✅ What am I truly capable of and what's possible for me?

✅ If I would be willing to shed (blank) it would change the trajectory of my career, my relationships, my finances, how I'm showing up in the world, my ability to meet challenges etc.

Self-awareness is the key to growth. I'm working on some tools for you. In the meantime, pull out a journal and answer the questions for yourself. All growth begins with knowing yourself completely, accepting the flaws and challenging yourself to become more. I also have journal writing prompts on the resources tab. <here>

Here's a link to my latest video. Again, it is a work in progress. I'll get to lighting, better equipment in a minute. It's the challenge I'm after...the stretching beyond what's comfortable and familiar. In the end that's what life's really about.
